Petoskey Pointe Moving Forward?...
 
It could be the movement needed to move forward with the long awaited Petoskey Pointe project. Could be. The Developers, Lake Street Petoskey Associates, have reached a settlement with the contractors who placed construction liens on the downtown site. The case had been set for trial to begin on May 11th. And now developers are working on a new financing agreement with a lender and could see things start to move this June according to some reports.
Burn Ban Lifted by DNR...
 
 
The DNR has lifted the burn ban across Northern Michigan for the time being. As the rainfall over the last few days has erased the dry conditions in the area to the point where it is not permissible to burn your yard debris. You should always check with local officials and the DNR at the field office in Indian River for Burn Permits at 231-238-4601.
 

Mailboxes Need Your Help...

 

According to the Michigan State Police Post in St. Ignace someone has damaged 30 - 40 Mailboxes along Mackinaw Trail Sough of Charles Moran Road and North To Chippewa County. The damage was found just before midnight last night, and the troopers are asking if you can provide any help or information call 906-643-7582.
Road Work Begins For Cheboygan...
 
Cheboygan residents got their first taste of the main street construction work yesterday. Detours took motorists around the main street work, and business owners remind everyone they are all open and encourage you to use back entrances and take advantage of several parking lots that are located around the downtown area. Main Street Construction is expected to last through July.
